ALP MONTHLY MEETING REPORT

ALP held its November monthly meeting at the residence of colleague Rev. Alice Villa-Real. Members who were present on the meeting were James Kevin Ty, Alice Villa-Real,  Dante Cruz, Joey Grajeda, Tommy Tan , Rich Pijuan , Alexander Loinaz , John Lawrence Uy, Joel Munoz , Jhun Embuido and Joseph Torres

The meeting started at around 3:45pm with James discussing n the December 3 Caliraya stargazing session as well as ALP's Christmas Party on December 11.  Among the topics discussed were potluck preparations, 2nd Astro-Quiz and many more. 

Afterwards, Joel Munoz giving a lecture on how to get started into telescope making.  He made a powerpoint presentation by showing the members how to compute the basic measurements that are needed for building your own homemade telescope.  He introduce the freeware Newt for Windows and use it as illustrative discussion on how to derive on critical data that one needs to know before he or she starts working .

After the discussion, it was time for some snacks in which host Alice preparing delicious Spaghetti meal to the group.  Alexander also brought some cakes to share with the group as well.  The group then continues to discuss on aspect of astronomy while having their snack. The meeting ended at around 6:00pm.
