ALP MONTHLY MEETING REPORT

ALP held its first monthly meeting for the year 2006 at the residence of colleague Rev. Alice Villa-Real.    Members who were present were James Kevin Ty, Alice Villa-Real, Allen Yu, Jett Aguilar, Rich Pijuan,  Dante Cruz, Jomar Lacson, Tommy Tan , Joseph Torres and Hans Gideon Cerdenia.

The meeting started at around 3:30pm with a simple introduction of fellow members.  Afterwards, they discussed some initial preparations for the upcoming National Astronomy Week that will be held from February 19 to 25.   Details of the venue and plans will be posted in the days to come  as the board members will do an ocular inspection of the planned venue this coming Sunday , January 15 as well as visit honorary director Father Victor Badillo, S,J, at the Jesuits Residence.

James also invite ALPers to join the upcoming stargazing session to be held on Jan 28 at the dark skies of Caliraya, Laguna.

After the NAW talks, the group had some informal long conversations over a cup of coffee and tea that range from astro related topics such telescopes and upcoming astro-events  to non-astro topics such as bird watching , current peace and order situations , etc. The meeting ended at around 6:30pm.
