ALP special guests Edwin Aguirre and Imelda Joson (Edwelda) were met by members of the ALP upon their arrival at the Planetarium.

After a warm welcome by ALPers, Edwelda might be commenting  "We feel like the good old days way back in the 80s !!! "

Jett Aguilar (2nd from right) : " Dont tell me you dont know how to connect it to this projector?  You are handling sophisticated CCD cameras with more complicated connections than this unit!  I will teach how simple this is!" :) LOL

PAS members (left to right) Lawrence and Matthew Esteban and Christopher Lee made sure   they were there  to listen to the exciting lectures of Edwelda  as well as meet two or perhaps  the greatest Filipino amateur astronomers our country have produced.

A mix crowd of members from various astronomical organizations were present during the ALP special meeting.

ALP lovely couple John Nassr and wife Mae travel all the way from Baguio City to attend this special meeting as well as to meet old astro friends .

Edwin Aguirre and Imelda Joson appreciated the warm reception to them after a long much awaited return back to the Philippines.

Former PAS member Mike Nealaga of the 80s and his family were there to give support to their great astro friend.

Imelda was the first lecturer of the day and her lecture was entitled "Astrophotography - Then and Now"

Imelda explaining to the crowd how CCD nowadays have been dramtic in helping amateurs obtain images that are at par with some of the best images taken by professional observatories.
