Since the weather was cloudy, the scheduled solar observation was cancelled. The meeting started at around 3:30pm with ALP Observation Chairman Peter Benedict Tubalinal giving an  interesting powerpoint lecture on different type of eclipses as well as types of occultation.  He started with the difference between solar and lunar eclipses and how they occur.  He also tackle on how different type of occultation that are possible and explain the difference on Ingress and Egress.

Afterwards, ALP president James Kevin Ty invited the members to join the July 11th Pleiades occultation as well as July 17th Regulus grazing event both at PAGASA Observatory in UP-Diliman.  That is if the weather is ok so he advise the members to make last minute contact with him before proceeding.

Lastly, he informed the members that the 3rd ALP 9 Ball Billiard Tournament will proceed as scheduled on July 15th while the 1st ALP Bowling Tournament will push through on August 12.  Both events will be held at Playdium Bowling and Billiards Center in Quezon City.

At around 6:00pm, the meeting was adjourned.
