The Astronomical League of the Philippines started the year by holding its first monthly meeting at the Manila Planetarium, 3:00pm.  The meeting were attended by James Kevin Ty, Brian Davis, Omar Turqueza, Angie Tan, Melisa Bata,  Bel Pabunan , Elena Moya and her husband Roland and kids.

ALPers brainstormed on the final preparations for the upcoming National Astronomy Week (NAW) at the Science Discovery Center (SDC), SM Mall of Asia. More or less 10 telescopes will be brought along by members of the society to help share the beauty of the night sky with the public and guest of SDC.  Also discussed were the number of photo exhibits that will displayed at the photo exhibit.

The meeting ended at 5:30pm. Then ALP directors Melisa Bata, Angie Tan , James Kevin Ty and Planetarium OIC proceed to SDC to check the location of the lecture room as well as the Astrophoto Exhibit area.  They then left the center at around 6:30pm.
