The Astronomical League of the Philippines held their monthly meeting on April 13 at the Manila Planetarium at 2:00pm.  Unfortunately, the technicians installing the new air condition system of the Planetarium accidentally cut off the wrong wiring that control the lighting system!  With that unexpected situation, the meeting had to be held on the smaller area of the Annex building. Nevertheless the meeting pushed through and among the members who attended were James Kevin Ty, Angie Tan,  Bel Pabunan , Edgar Ang, Jett Aguilar, Vincent Lao, Elena Moya and her husband Roland Moya.

Since they didn't expect the situation, ALP president James Kevin Ty decided to touch on the initial planning for ALP 5th anniversary annual book and among the topics discussed were:

1) Creation of various committees to handle the layout, front cover designs, advertisement, etc.

2) A hardbound edition was decided with 100 page content.

3) Francisco Lao, Jr. as Editor in Chief, James Kevin Ty and Dr. Jett Aguilar as Assistant Editor, Melisa Bata as Production Manager, Rich Pijuan as Art Editor, James Kevin Ty as Photo Editor.  More committees to be announced in the days to come.

4) Dateline for submission of articles will be on July 15 while dateline for submission of advertisement shall be on July 31. Dateline for submission for printing shall be on August 15 and expected presentation of the ALP Yearbook will be on September 14.

5) ALP will have a special meeting on April 20 at 6:30pm most probably at Alice's Residence or at a restaurant designated in the days to come.
