NOTES

M33 Pinwheel Galaxy in Triangulum - Had a hard time getting details out of this image because of poor hazy sky.  Will try my luck again at darker skies of Caliraya , Laguna i the days to come.

041204m42-tn.jpg (10940 bytes)

M42 Great Orion Nebula in Orion- All time favorite deep sky object whether you are a newbie or veteran observer or astrophotographer.

041204m78-tn.jpg (9735 bytes)

M78 Planetary Nebula in Orion - a small irregular shape planetary nebula that looks like a pair of eye looking back at you :) LOL

041204m31-d-tn.jpg (10970 bytes)

M31 Andromeda Galaxy in Andromeda - finally bag this elusive galaxy [reason is that it is either cloudy or raining when I want to image this bright and easy to find galaxy for the past several years already :) LOL ]

041204comet_machholz_04q2-tn.jpg (9419 bytes)

Comet 2004 Q2 Machholz in Columba  - now at mag 5.9, this   brightening comet with greenish nucleus still show a short tail. :(

041204m34-tn.jpg (9590 bytes)

M34 Open Star Cluster in Perseus - a small loose open cluster.

041204ngc1499-a-tn.jpg (11242 bytes)

NGC 1499 California Nebula in Perseus - this is a very huge reflection nebula which is easy to image under very dark skies. But in Buso-Buso, I had a hard time getting a good exposure of this nebula.  This will be in my next target list at Caliraya.

041204ngc869_884-tn.jpg (12592 bytes)

NGC884/869 Double Star Cluster in Perseus - one of the most beautiful pair of open star cluster!  Stunning in my TV-101 refractor with 12mm Nagler at 45x.

041204m35-tn.jpg (10182 bytes)

M35 Open Star Cluster in Gemini - Very nice large open star cluster.

Below are images taken by Jett Aguilar using Celestron C8 with f/6.3 reducer  with Canon EOS 300D digital camera at prime focus on GP-DX mount with SS2000.

SUBJECT NOTES

041204m31_jett-tn.jpg (3740 bytes)

M31 Andromeda Galaxy in constellation Andromeda - "Well, I think I got a passable unguided 2 1/2 mins exposure snapshot of Andromeda for the first time. It would be interesting what images I could get with my Stellarvue AT1010 and my MX5C CCD camera.  I think I’m about ready to try out my CCD camera for the next star party."

041204m42_jett-tn.jpg (3555 bytes)

M42 Orion Nebula in constellation Orion - "I also took images again of the great Orion nebula, taking both slightly longer exposures (still unguided)"

041204trapezium_jett-tn.jpg (2831 bytes)

Trapezium - "I also took images of the inner core of great Orion nebula, taking both slightly longer exposures (still unguided).

041204machholz_04q2_jett-tn.jpg (2693 bytes)

2004 Q2 Machholz - " I got a 1 minute exposure before the sky finally got covered with dense clouds.  Well, I’m still quite satisfied since this is my first comet image ever!"
