March 8, 2016 ALP TSE Palangkaraya Report - Day 3

ALP TSE2016 Palangkaraya Team members wake up early this morning and went to the roof deck to make a final dry run before tomorrow's E-Day. Finally, ALPer Jett Aguilar arrives at the hotel and meet up with the rest of the members at the roof deck.  He also try to setup but clouds started to rolled while he is setting up.  He then pack up his gears together with other members of the team and had a late breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

In the afternoon, there is some sunlight and Jett went back to the roof deck to do his final setup calibration and accompanied by ALPers Christopher Louie Lu and Allan Renan Acosta. Afterwards, members of the ALP TSE2016 Palangkaraya Team had a general eclipse orientation and briefing time in the afternoon by ALP TSE2016 Team Leader James Kevin Ty to fnalize tomorrow's E-Day preparation.

At around 4:00pm IST, the entire complete TSE2016 Palangkaraya team went to visit the Eclipse Festival hosted by the city government of Palangkaraya.  They also got to meet some fellow astronomers at the site as well and have some photo opps with them while watching some traditional Dakak dance programs.  At around 8:00pm IST, they went back to the hotel to get some ample rest as they need to wake up very early at 3:00am IST tomorrow.

Finally, ALPer Jett Aguilar arrived at Palangkaraya to join the ALP TSE2016 Palangkaraya Team!

ALPer Jett Aguilar is assisted by ALPer Christopher Louie Lu setting up his Canon EOS 6D DSLR on Borg 77ED refractor with EF 1.4x Converter and Canon 7D DSLR with Canon EF 300mm f/4 L lens mounted on Kenko Sky Memo Star TRacker mount.

ALPers had a heavy breakfast after a tiring and hot eclipse dry run in the morning.

ALP TSE2016 Palangkaraya Team had a groupie shot at the entrance of the Palangkaraya Eclipse Festival entrance.

Jakarta Astronomical Society  was also there together with their eclipse setup.
