April 3, 2016 ALP Monthly Meeting Report

Last April 3rd, ALP held their monthly meeting at Exploreum at SM Mall of Asia. Members who attended were ALP President James Kevin Ty, wife Charito and son Kendrick Cole KC Ty; Secretary Christopher Louie Lu and daughter Frances;  Treasurer Andrew Ian Chan, directors Iah Serna and Shubhashish Banerjee;   Fung Yu , Mark Ian Singson, Justine Garcia, Nelson Go and Alejandro Quiling. Meeting started at around 3:30pm with ALP Secretary Christopher Louie Lu touched again on the upcoming Philippine Messier Marathon Open for this coming April 9th at Caliraya, Laguna.  He rehearsed on what needs to be prepared to participate on the event.

Afterwards, ALP President James Kevin Ty then announced the upcoming Global Astronomy Month's events that ALP will be participating this month. There are the GAM Messier Marathon on April 9 at Caliraya, Laguna ; Global Star Party on April 16 at SMBY; SUNDay on April 26 at SMBY; and Jupiter Watch on April 30 at SMBY as well.  Meeting ended at around 5:00pm.

ALPers listen as ALP Secretary Christopher Louie lectures on the upcoming ALP Philippine Messier Marathon Open 2016.	ALP Secretary Christopher Louie gives a lecture on how to join the upcoming Messier Marathon as well as gives tips on how to do a successful documentation of the Messier Objects observed the whole evening till dawn.
Some ALPers had dinner at Pepper Lunch after the meeting.	ALPer Christopher Louie Lu stands beside the Celestron Omni 150 reflector on CG4 mount as ALP visits Cutting Edge store after the meeting.
