February 5, 2017 ALP Monthly Meeting Report

Last February 5th, Astronomical League of the Philippines held its monthly meeting at Starbucks beside IMAX center at SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. Members who were present were ALP President James Kevin Ty , Secretary Christopher Louie Lu, wife Karren and daughter Frances Lu;  Treasurer Andrew Ian Chan, Auditor Edgar Ang , directors Justine Garcia , Peter Benedict Tubalinal and Ronald Sison ; Robert Gascon, Mark Ian Singson , Fung Yu, Joaquin Fajardo, Jason Comia and Chris Benedict Solis.

Meeting started at around 3:30pm with ALP Ttreasurer and NAW Chairman Andrew Ian Chan discussing with members on the upcoming National Astronomy Week on February 12 & 18, 2017 . The following were finalized:

February 12, 2017 Free Solar and Night Observation Session at SM By The Bay fro 3:00pm-9:00pm

February 18, 2017 NAW Astronomy Convention at Rizal Technological University (RTU) Boni Avenue from 1:00pm-4:00pm

February 18, 2017 Free Public Viewing Session at SM By The Bay Northern Fountian Area near Vikings Restaurant.

The meeting ended at around 7:00pm followed by Astro Dinner at Pepper Lunch by some members to further discuss the NAW agenda.
