March 5, 2017 ALP Monthly Meeting Report

Last March 5th, Astronomical League of the Philippines held its monthly meeting at Rizal Technological University (RTU) at Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City. Members who were present were ALP President James Kevin Ty , Treasurer Andrew Ian Chan, Auditor Edgar Ang , PRO Edge Lat with daughter Trisha Lat; directors Justine Garcia , Peter Benedict Tubalinal and Ronald Sison  and Robert Gascon.

Meeting started at around 3:00pm with ALP Ttreasurer and NAW Chairman Andrew Ian Chan discussing on the highlights of the just concluded National Astronomy Week held last February 12 & 18, 2017 .  This was followed by a lecture by ALP Messier Marathon Chairman Peter Benedict Tubalinal on the upcoming preparation and logistics of the Philippine Messier Marathon Open 2017 which will be held on March 25, 2017 and April 29, 2017 at Caliraya , Laguna .

The meeting ended at around 5:00pm followed by Astro Dinner at McDonald's  by some members to further discuss on astro related discussions.
