March 4, 2018 ALP Monthly Meeting Report

Last March 4, Astronomical League of the Philippines (ALP) held its monthly meeting at Alice Villa-Real's residence in Quezon City. Members who were present are ALP President James Kevin Ty ,  Treasurer Andrew Ian Chan, Secretary Justine Garcia, Auditor Edgar Ang, directors Peter Benedict Tubalinal , Ronald Sison & Alice Villa-Real ;   Mike Enage, Adi Bontuyan and Dexter Cruz.

Meeting started at around 2:30pm with testing of different types of eyepieces from lo end Ramsden to  moderate Plossls to high end Naglers. They tested each type of eyepieces on Ronald's William Optics GT-81 Triplet refractor to see the difference in image quality. Afterwards, Adi Bontuyan played a video lecture on Space X and the Current Space Industries.  This was followed by a lecture by Peter Tubalinal on Messier Marathon Preparation and Plans for the March 17th event to be held at the dark skies of Caliraya, Laguna.

Host Alice Villa-Real also serves the members her delicious Keto Pancakes , Bacon and Bullet Proof / Brewed Coffee during the meeting. The event ended at around 6:00pm .
