Last April 21, Astronomical League of the
Philippines (ALP) celebrated Global Astronomy Month with the Globe At
Night Free Public Viewing at SM By The Bay at SM Mall of
Asia , Pasay City.
Members who were present are ALP President James Kevin
Ty , wife Charito and son Kendrick Cole KC Ty;
Auditor Edgar Ang , Per Edman, Mark Ian Singson, Miguel
Angel Villar and family.
They arrived at the location at
around 7:00pm. James brought along a Celestron Sky
Master 20x80mm binoculars mounted on a sturdy tripod ;
Mark with his Celestron Travel Scope 70mm refractor on
sturdy tripod ; Per with his Orion XT6 Dobsonian
reflector. Around 400+ people got to view the Waxing
Gibbous Moon, planet Venus and bright star Sirius.
At around 9:30pm. they called
it a night and had a group shot taken before packing up
and going home.
