Last December 8th, members of the Astronomical League of the Philippines (ALP) held their simple Christmas party at Alice’s residence. Members who attended were ALP President James Kevin Ty and son Kendrick Cole KC Ty ; Treasurer Andrew Ian Chan , PRO Alice Villa-Real, directors Ronald Sison, Peter Benedict Tubalinal , Adi Bontuyan ; Fung Yu, Joaquin Fajardo and Robert Gascon.
A simple Christmas get together with discussion on the upcoming December 26, 2019 Annular Solar Eclipse that will be visible in Balut Island as well as some Southeast Asia countries like Singapore , Malaysia and Borneo and Middle East countries like UAE and Oman.
ALP will setup 2 main stations in SM By The Bay for the Manila Team which consists of Mark Ian Singson, Jennifer Gutierrez and some students of New Era Astronomical Society. The other team will go to Singapore which is led by ALP President James Kevin Ty, VP Jett Aguilar, Treasurer Andrew Ian Chan, Secretary Justine Garcia, director Ronald Sison , Charito Ty, Kendrick Cole KC Ty and also members of their family. They will linked up with The Astronomical Society of Singapore (TASOS) in Jurong Lake Gardens in Singapore.
Reelectionist Andrew Ian Chan, Justine Garcia, Ronald Sison and Peter Benedict run unopposed for this election so they are reelected at Board of Directors for 2020-2022.
The party ended at around 6:00pm. Merry Christmas and a Happy ALP Year!
