Monthly Meetings

Last July 14, members of Astronomical League of the Philippines held their monthly meeting at Alice’s Residence in Quezon City. Members who attended were ALP President James Kevin Ty and son Kendrick Cole KC Ty ; VP Jett Aguilar, PRO Alice Villa-Real , director Adi Bontuyan and new member Vince Josef Belen with her mom Alicia Belen and brother.

Meeting started at around 3pm with ALP President James Kevin Ty helping newbie Vince and his mom setup their new Celestron Inspire 100 AZ refractor. He help them setup the scope properly and how to align the zero dot finder with the main telescope. ALP VP Jett Aguilar also brought some ice cream as well as Pizzas and brewed coffee compliments of PRO Alice Villa-Real .
The July 17th Partial Lunar Eclipse was also discussed in detail but the weather outlook looks bad as there is a low pressure system entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Meeting ended at around 6:30pm.

Members who attended were ALP President James Kevin Ty and son Kendrick Cole KC Ty ; Treasurer Andrew Ian Chan, Secretary Justine Garcia, Auditor Edgar Ang, PRO Alice Villa-Real and Per Edman.

Meeting started at around 3pm with Per Edman discussing on his astro imaging experience using his Imaging scope and ZWO ASIair. Also discussed is the upcoming International Sunday free solar viewing session at SMBY at SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

Meeting ended at around 6:30pm.

ALP had a simple monthly meeting last May 12, 2019 at Alice’s Residence. Members who attended were ALP President James Kevin Ty and son Kendrick Cole KC Ty ; Auditor Edgar Ang, and PRO Alice Villa-Real.

Meeting started at around 2:45pm with discussion on the upcoming June 16 International SUNDay free solar viewing session at SM By The Bay at SM MOA, Pasay City. Afterwards, a mix topics on Astronomy and ketogenic diet were discussed. Meeting ended at around 6:45pm.
