January 11, 2020 Penumbral Lunar Eclipse Report

Last January 11th, there was a penumbral lunar eclipse that was visible in Asia as well as Philippines and weather prospect was good. At around midnight James setup his Canon EOS M6 mirrorless camera on Borg 76ED refractor mounted on Celestron Nexstar mount to document the event. He was also accompanied by his son KC to image the eclipse. The sky turn a little cloudy past 1st contact but they were able to continue imaging the entire event through cloud openings till 4th contact. He packed up at around 5:30am.
December 26, 2019 ALP Manila Team Partial Solar Eclipse Report

Last December 26, 2019 (Thursday), the Astronomical League of the Philippines (ALP) with the participation of New Era University: Astronomy Enthusiast Society (AES), conducted a FREE SOLAR TELESCOPE VIEWING and observed the Partial Solar Eclipse in SM by the Bay Pasay City, Philippines.

ALP December 26, 2019 Annular Solar Eclipse at Singapore Report

Last December 26, 2019 , members of the Astronomical League of the Philippines (ALP) send a contingent of 14 members and their families to observe the Annular Solar Eclipse in Singapore.
Last December 8th, members of the Astronomical League of the Philippines (ALP) held their simple Christmas party at Alice’s residence.
ALP will be celebrating their anniversary party this coming September 8, 2019 12pm at Alice’s Residence. Members are encourage to bring some food to share with fellow members. For details, pls contact ALP President James Kevin Ty at jkty5597@gmail.com.
